Tanner is a Junior at Virginia Tech, majoring in finance with a concentration in the CFA track. On campus, he is involved with Virginia Tech SEED, a $5 million student-managed equity portfolio. Tanner also serves on the philanthropy committee for his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega. 

Next summer, he will be an investment banking summer analyst with Stifel in their diversified industrials group. 

When not on campus, Tanner resides in Roanoke, Virginia, where he enjoys playing golf, reading historical books, boxing, and spending time with his family.
