Diego Negron
Co-Founder
Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Diego is a Junior studying finance through Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. He is involved at school as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Commodity Investing by Students, the only student-managed investment fund covering commodity markets in the United States with $1 million under management. Diego also serves as Co-President of the Finance Club. Previously, he was President of the Association of Latino Professionals for America’s Virginia Tech chapter and treasurer of Model United Nations at Virginia Tech.
Diego founded the Investment Banking Group in the Summer of 2022 with the goal of increasing Virginia Tech’s student placements as related to Wall Street. Following freshman year, Diego interned as a Private Equity Summer Analyst with Advent-Morro Equity Partners, which is Puerto Rico’s leading private equity fund and was formerly affiliated with Advent International. Next summer, he will be returning as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst to Bank of America’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York City.
When not at school, Diego enjoys playing polo and tennis, watching the Premier League, and reading 19th-century British and Eastern European literature.
